"Developer's Dilemma: Simplifying Cursor Pro Subscriptions for Power Users"

Feature Request: Multi-Tier Quota Purchase Option for Single Accounts

:white_check_mark: Forum Check: I have checked the forum and did not find any discussion about this feature request.

:lady_beetle: Issue Description: As an individual developer and loyal Cursor user, I currently own 5 Cursor Pro subscription accounts, giving me a total of 2,500 fast requests per month. While the total amount is sufficient for my use, I need to frequently switch between accounts to find available Pro accounts, which is very cumbersome and affects my work efficiency.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Use one Pro account until its fast requests are depleted
  2. Log out of the current account
  3. Log in to another Pro account
  4. Repeat this process until finding an account with available fast requests

:camera: Screenshots: None at the moment, but one can imagine the tedious process of switching between multiple accounts.

:laptop: System Environment: [Operating system information, Cursor version number]

:prohibited: Impact Level: This issue does not completely prevent me from using Cursor, but significantly reduces my work efficiency, as approximately 80% of my programming work is completed through Cursor.

Feature Suggestion: I hope Cursor can provide a multi-tier quota purchase option for single accounts, such as allowing users to pay $100 for a single account to obtain 5 times the fast request quota (equivalent to the quota of 5 Pro accounts). This is very important for individual developers as it can greatly improve work efficiency while reducing the hassle of managing multiple accounts.

Hi, it looks like you are indeed a power user with 2500 requests per month.

This has been already solved differently and more efficient by Cursor. They offer the main package for 500 requests and then you can use Usage based pricing at same per request cost without having to purchase additional bundles.

So if you need 2243 requests you do not have to pay for 2500 requests.

For your multi-account issue:
You can log in the browser into different accounts and check their status if you need to know the usage. This avoids having to re-login into the IDE.

Personally I find the usage based pricing better than having to purchase 5 accounts with subscription for each.

Does that help?

Good to know. I was wondering if there would be any advantage to having multiple pro accounts. I’ll stick to usage based then. I’m running up quite a bit of usage myself

2500 fast requests cost $20 * 5, can usage based pricing cost the same dollar(or less) for 2500 fast requests? if so, then i will turn on usage based pricing mode.

Correct. Fast requests cost 0.04 USD

That’s 500 for 20 USD in package
Or charged per request in usage based pricing. This remains as fast requests.

So no need to pay multiple packages of 500.
