I haven’t gotten help in over a month.
Digging into the docs, your docs are saying that corporate proxies tend to block command-K. I don’t have a corporate proxy but I do almost always have a VPN on since I’m in crypto. I asked Cursor to help me change the settings to fix this but Cursor can’t fix its own settings (what the hell?) Come on guys. Fix this. I can’t stand wasting my time like this.
If you disable the VPN, will it solve the problem? I understand you need the VPN, but it’s necessary to troubleshoot the issue. Also, make sure your antivirus isn’t blocking these addresses:
Who has an antivirus in 2024?
I told a friend at a tech company that you were expecting me to fix this (instead of, you know you fixing this, and he literally couldn’t believe what I was saying.
Anyway, luckily the state I live in has laws on the books about this and I can literally sue you over this BS.
Long story short: I went through some troubleshooting over this with Cursor’s AI and it started asking me to change settings in terminal, and that just sounds insane to me. What the hell? It’s saying that I don’t have the permissions to change the settings any other way.
I use antivirus, a solution was offered to you, but you ignore it. You’re trying to solve the problem using a cursor that doesn’t even know about the existence of the cursor. It’s just a model, not a tightly integrated model within Cursor that knows everything about it. Less negativity, bro, and everything will be fine.
