Edit File Tool Hanging Indefinitely

Describe the Bug

Everything was working perfectly until last week. Now, the Edit File tool seems to hang indefinitely. To proceed, I have to manually stop the prompt multiple times and then type “continue” to get it to move forward. This behavior significantly disrupts my workflow and makes the tool difficult to use. I’m mostly using Sonnet-4 Thinking.

Steps to Reproduce

Use agent mode, give Cursor a task to preform which involves editing files.

Expected Behavior

Cursor tool should hang indefinitely. If there’s error, agent should stop run or at least it should provide some visibility into the process.

Operating System

Windows 10/11

No - Cursor works, but with this issue
