Error: Streaming responses are being buffered by a proxy in your network environment

Describe the Bug

I applied these steps to resolve but nothing is working:

  1. Open Settings (CMD/CTRL + ,)

  2. Search for “HTTP/2”

  3. Enable the “Disable HTTP/2” setting

  4. Keep HTTP Compatibility Mode set to HTTP/1.1

  5. Restart Cursor

  6. Try temporarily connecting to a different network (like a mobile hotspot) to check if the issue is network-related

  7. Clear your workspace data:

Press CMD/CTRL + Shift + P
Type and select “Clear Workspace Data”
Restart Cursor

Error:

I’m seeing the same issue. Has this issue be resolved?

@Richard_Russoniello could you check if switching in Network settings from HTTP/2.0 to 1.1 does improve this for you.

Usually it has to do with internet provider or corporate network restrictions.

Hey, thanks for the report. Could you clarify if you have a VPN or a configured proxy server on this computer? Also, try adding Cloudflare DNS in your network’s system settings. Add the address 8.8.8.8.
