I’m a student, but unfortunately the free Student Plan is not available in my region, so I have to pay for my subscription myself.
As a student, my coding workload varies from month to month. Some months I use the service a lot, while other months I don’t. For example, this month I’ve only used about 50% of my monthly credits.
Would you consider allowing unused credits or quota to roll over to the next month for paying students in regions where the free Student Plan isn’t available? This would make the subscription much more affordable and flexible for students with limited budgets and inconsistent usage.
I believe this small change would greatly improve the experience for many students in similar situations.
Hey, thanks for the feature request and for laying out the scenario in detail.
Right now, credits on individual plans are tied to the billing cycle and reset every month. Any unused credits don’t carry over to the next period. At the moment we’re not planning to add rollover for individual subscriptions, so I don’t want to mislead you with promises.
If you want to add more support to the rollover request, there are already existing threads where it’s being discussed. You can upvote them here:
Also, it sounds like your real pain point is Student Plan availability in your region. That’s a bigger and more active topic. Here’s the main thread about expanding the student program to new countries, it’s worth checking out and upvoting:
