I tried restarting cursor. I logged out and logged back in. I checked the portal and everything is active. However, no response is being provided by the various AIs I tried. started new chats, tried using the chats in history and nothing works. HELP!

I am having the same issue. The chat is simply not responding. There are no error messages.
Try turning off all extensions. Recently, a user in one of the threads found that an SSH extension was causing the issue.

I have also uninstalled VSC and Cursor and reinstalled them with no extensions then started adding minimal extensions. I am using a Mac.
I have done all the recommended steps. Do you have any solutions for this issue? I am a paid member and have not been able to use the subscription for the last 7 days.
Try reinstalling Cursor using this guide, it solves the problem 99% of the time. Let me know if it helps:
I uninstalled cursor and VSC. I was able to remove every folder and cache from VSC, however when I reinstalled Cursor it seems that the cache for it is still there because it brought me back to where I was in the chat prior to uninstalling it. Can you provide me specific uninstallation of Cursor that will remove all history, folders and cache? I am using a Mac. The link you provide it that says uninstall cursor actually takes me to uninstall VSC. Maybe I just missed the actual place where the instructions for uninstalling Cursor is located. VSC did reinstall without any extensions and is very clean, currently.
To completely remove it, you need to delete these two folders:
macOS - Delete $HOME/Library/Application Support/Cursor and ~/.cursor
Thanks @deanrie I was able to clean it up, however it is also a good step to search for any other mentions of cursor which I did by running this command find ~/Library -iname “cursor” when I did I found this Application Support/Caches/cursor-updater and deleted it like so rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Caches/cursor-updater and then it was truelly a brand new install. Everything is now working as expected. Hopefully it will stay so. thank you much!
