I’m really frustrated with the recent issues surrounding Claude 3.7! The high demand has led to rate-limiting problems, and now, slow pool users are being completely sidelined.
It’s incredibly disappointing that after all the hype, many of us can’t even access the model due to these connection errors. Why should slow pool users be the ones to suffer when trying to explore what Claude 3.7 has to offer? This feels unjust and poorly handled.
When will this nonsense end? We deserve better access and communication regarding these limitations. I hope the team can resolve this quickly and allow all users to experience Claude 3.7 without these frustrating restrictions!
I agree with this to the end. the fact that we are in slow mode does not change anything, we get this service by paying for it. it is not acceptable for us to be pushed aside in this way!
It’s rate-limited because Claude output is ridiculously expensive and cost tons of money to Cursor devs. You can enter your own Anthropic API key in the settings, if you want an unlimited access.
I get that, but they state Claude is the best model to use publicly for coding, as such people are going to want to use it. If the $15 per 1 million output tokens is indeed the problem, raise the subscription price, it’s quite simple. I pay yearly, and don’t expect to be excluded on slow requests. Adding your own API key or changing to usage based pricing isn’t a sensible solution when you’ve purchased a product that advertises “unlimited slow premium” requests. If they can’t cater for volume, raise the price like the “surf” product did.
“It’s no longer a matter of slow requests taking ten-plus minutes; they’re taking several hours now. I haven’t managed to connect to the advanced model for dialogue all day.”
Yes, I’m definitely experiencing issues with Claude due to slow queues in Cursor, and I’m not just quoting someone.
To be honest, I’m quite frustrated. I’ve paid for an annual Pro subscription for Cursor, but recently I’ve been consistently stuck in long queues when trying to use the advanced Claude models. This has made them basically unusable for me, which is a major reason I subscribed to Pro in the first place.
It’s very disappointing as a paying customer, and I hope this situation improves soon.
Terms changing mid annual subscription, that should be illegal.
API + Cheaper subscription might be what I do next month, I don’t like VS codes agent but seams like the reasonable option at this point.
I have already used 500 credits and look at the situation — for 3 days, I can’t even access the slow usage mode properly. There urgently needs to be a new player in the market because when there’s a monopoly, this is what happens to companies.
I have been dealing with customer service for 2 days now; they just keep stalling. There’s no solution, they only want money. They must think they are playing games with developers who are digging their own graves. If they continue like this… they will lose.
To whoever reads this and is in charge: you are on the wrong path. Announce your news, price increases, and usage limits by the end of the month. I want the value of the money I pay. We made an agreement, and you cannot manage my usage rights like this this month!
