Hey there guys,
Do you also having “Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN” issues lately? I am using a pro cursor account and for last 2 days getting too many connection failed issues during the day. But when i try to use Cline inside Cursor with same LLM Model it just works. What are your thoughts about this.
Same here. 2.5 pro hardly ever works correctly. If it works its either super slow or stops completely mid response. 3.7 works best for me so far. Hope 2.5 pro gets fixed soon.
I ve been using cursor pro account with gemini 2.5 for like 10 days, it used to worked very well for the first 7-8 days and didnt changed any setting or setup of cursor or computer.
But yesterday and today getting endless connection failed errors for half an hour or maybe 1 hour, then it starts working again for while then it again starts connection fail errors.
I thought it could 've been about high usage rates of the LLM, then tried with Cline inside Cursor and it was working while cursor agent keeps giving connection errors.
feel like the issue is due to Firebase Studio (the cursor killer), they had exceptional high demand due to Google Cloud Next, so it is prioritizing their products on release
I’m still constantly having this issue with Gemini 2.5 : Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN

Same issue here since almost 24h with several target LLM’s. Connection failed. If the problem persists, please check your internet connection or VPN

Or well, I guess there’s one difference. Claude just keeps loading indefinitely, not even showing that error message.
Edit: The problem could be resolved if restarting the IDE completely (making sure the IDE REALLY was shut down using the task manager), but this problem instantly resolved itself when the 0.49.0 update rolled out, although any fixes for this issue seems to not be mentioned in the release notes.
