Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Something else — Grok Bot desktop (Agent Computer)
Describe the Bug
Grok Bot 0.30.0 Stable on Windows 11 cannot reach the Agent Computer after a failed Reset.
Reset hung on “Wiping your data,” then: Reset failed. The reset couldn’t finish. Grok Bot’s computer may be in a partial state.
The app then showed first-run “Create your first Bot / No chats yet.” After full quit, sign-out/in, and Recover, sidebar bots came back, but the computer still will not connect. The app also shows the generic firewall / VPN / Zscaler blocking message for the Agent Computer domain.
Steps to Reproduce
- Agent Computer froze.
- Settings → Updates → Reset Grok Bot’s Computer.
- Reset stuck on wiping data, then partial-state failure.
- App showed empty first-run UI.
- Fully quit, sign out/in, Recover (did not Reset again).
- Bots reappear in the sidebar. Retry still cannot reach the computer.
Expected Behavior
Recover should reconnect to the existing Agent Computer. First-run UI should not appear when bots already exist. The firewall warning should not show when HTTPS to the Agent Computer domain already works.
Screenshots / Screen Recordings
I can attach: reset-failed dialog, empty first-run screen, couldn’t-reach dialog, firewall warning screen, curl output.

Additional Information
DNS set to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8, IPv6 DNS off.
Lookup of the published Agent Computer test host via 1.1.1.1 succeeds (16.58.116.176, 3.139.242.47, 18.224.163.213).
curl -I to that same host over HTTPS returns HTTP/1.1 404 from awselb/2.0.
Network to the Agent Computer domain works. Please check the Agent Computer on your side and clear the stuck reset job.
