Grok Bot Android: Bot failed to respond + cannot create bot

Hi,

My Grok Bot on Android is broken.

Every message fails with:

Bot failed to respond

Something went wrong while generating the reply. Try again.

This happens on simple messages too (“hello”, “Stop now”, new chat).

Creating a new bot also fails:

Could not create the Bot. Please try again.

The Agent Computer still opens. I can see the desktop, a terminal at box@cursor:/workspace, and Chrome. The box is reachable, but the bot never generates a reply.

Already tried:

- Force-stop the app and clear cache

- Sign out and sign back in

- Stop now / short test messages

- Creating a new bot

On Android Grok Bot 1.5.0 there is no Update / Recover / Reset Agent Computer in Settings, so I cannot reset the computer from the phone.

Usage is at 1%, so this does not look like a quota issue.

Please recover or rebuild the Agent Computer for this account on the backend.

Grok Bot on Android fails to reply and cannot create a new bot.

Every message fails with:

Bot failed to respond

Something went wrong while generating the reply. Try again.

Creating a new bot fails with:

Could not create the Bot. Please try again.

The Agent Computer still opens. I can see the desktop, a terminal at box@cursor:/workspace, and Chrome. The computer is reachable, but the bot never generates a reply.

There is no Update / Recover / Reset Agent Computer option in the Android Settings screen, so I cannot reset the computer from the phone.

Usage is at 1%.

1. Open Grok Bot on Android 1.5.0 (120).

2. Open the existing bot “Chief of Staff”.

3. Send any message, including “hello” or “Stop now”.

4. The red error “Bot failed to respond” appears.

5. Tap + and try to create a new bot.

6. Creation fails with “Could not create the Bot. Please try again.”

7. Open the Agent Computer view — the desktop and terminal still load.

The bot should reply to messages. Creating a new bot should work. If the computer is stuck, Android Settings should offer Recover / Update / Reset Agent Computer.

Hey @Ah_Ah, thanks for the detailed write-up. This should be sorted now, and it wasn’t anything on your end. The cloud computer that runs all your bots got stuck, which is why every message and new-bot attempt failed. We’ve rebuilt it, and your bots, chats, and files are intact.

Send a quick test message in a new chat to confirm. If you still see the error, fully close and reopen the app first. You didn’t miss a reset option, you won’t need one now that it’s back up.

Update: the bot now returns
