Describe the Bug

I’m on iPhone, latest iOS (26.6). Grok Bot notifications are enabled on the phone, but I never get any push notifications.

This is the Grok Bot iOS app from the App Store, not the Cursor iOS app.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Grok Bot on iPhone (App Store version 1.0)
  2. Confirm notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Grok Bot → Notifications
  3. Confirm notifications are also enabled inside the app
  4. Trigger something that should notify (bot finishes work, or needs approval / attention)
  5. Check lock screen, banners, and Notification Center

Expected Behavior

A push notification when a bot needs me or finishes a task.

Additional Information

Notifications permission is on. Still no banners, lock-screen alerts, or Notification Center entries. Happy to add logs or a screen recording if useful.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Update: this only happens when the app is open.

If I’m currently on one agent and a different agent replies, I don’t get a notification for that other agent’s reply.

Hey there! Thanks for the detailed report.

The “notifications never arrive” part was an issue on our side, and it’s now fixed. Could you fully close and reopen Grok Bot once, then test again with the app backgrounded and on the lock screen? You should start seeing them.

Separately, the “only when the app is open, and not for other agents” part: right now, while the app is foregrounded, completion alerts are being silenced even for agents you aren’t actively viewing. That’s not intended behavior, and we’ve let the team know. For now, a finished agent you’re not looking at won’t buzz until you open its conversation.

Background notifications are working now after the fix.

Still waiting on an update for the foreground case — when the app is open and I’m on one agent, I don’t get a notification when a different agent replies.
