Grok Bots Missing and Inaccessible After Failed Account Unification – Cursor Sign-In Error and Subscription Mismatch

Describe the Bug

My existing Grok Bots have disappeared from the Grok Bots list in my Grok account. However, the bots are still visible in my Cursor account, but I am unable to open or use them.

I have an active Grok Premium subscription, purchased through the Grok app. However, Cursor continues to display my subscription as Free.

I am also unable to complete the Grok–Cursor account unification process. Whenever I attempt to unify my accounts, the process reaches Step 2 and then redirects me back to the beginning, creating a continuous loop.

Additionally, when I try to sign in to Cursor using my Grok account, I receive the following error:

“Sign-in is temporarily unavailable. Please try again in a minute.”

Error ID: 40f2f713-94ec-4917-b796-9ce6fb9d492b

Steps to Reproduce

Sign in to my Grok account.

Open the Grok Bots list.

Notice that my previously created bots are missing.

Sign in to my Cursor account and observe that the bots are visible but inaccessible.

Attempt to unify my Grok and Cursor accounts.

Complete Step 1 and proceed to Step 2.

The process redirects back to the beginning instead of completing account unification.

Attempt to sign in to Cursor using my Grok account.

Receive the temporary sign-in error with Error ID 40f2f713-94ec-4917-b796-9ce6fb9d492b.

Expected Behavior

My existing Grok Bots should remain visible and accessible.

I should be able to open and use my previously created bots without losing their configurations or conversation history.

Grok–Cursor account unification should complete successfully without redirect loops.

Signing in to Cursor using my Grok account should work correctly.

Any Cursor entitlements included with my Grok Premium subscription should be correctly recognized.

My existing bot data should not be deleted or reset during troubleshooting.

This problem didn’t exist yesterday, and the correct subscription plan was displayed in Cursor.

Same error, anybody fix this yet ?

Hi there,

Thanks for the detailed write-up. I’ve looked at your accounts, and here is where things stand.

Your payment went through and your subscription is still active. Combining your accounts did finish, and your existing Bots, conversations and routines are on your combined Cursor account (the one on the same email address as your Grok account).

The step that didn’t finish is attaching the subscription to that combined account. That has to be completed on our side. It’s a known issue the team is already looking at, and no sign-in method or retry of the unify page will fix it from your end.

@Colin thanks for the update. any timeline when it will be done?
