Hi,
I’m on the Cursor Pro plan ($20/month). Yesterday everything was working fine — I was using the classic editor (VS Code-style interface) to work on my Next.js project locally.
Today I restarted my Mac and Cursor appears to have auto-updated. Now the app only opens in the new “Cursor Agent” interface and forces me to connect GitHub and select a repository before I can do anything. There is no option to access the classic editor view.
When I try to use the Agent, it asks me to “enable on-demand usage” with a minimum spend of $100 on top of my Pro subscription. If I click Cancel, I’m completely locked out — I can’t access my project or do any work at all.
My issue:
- I don’t want to use Cloud Agents. I just want to open my local project in the classic editor like I did yesterday.
- There seems to be no way to switch back to the standard IDE/editor view.
- My Pro plan should give me access to the editor with AI chat, but the new update gives me no way to access it.
Can you help me either:
- Switch back to the classic editor interface, or
- Downgrade to the previous version of Cursor that worked fine?

Thank you.
