Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

If you click Help / Check Update when an update is available on the server, the “Help” menu will simply close, and the update will start downloading in the background without any notification about the download process or readiness for installation.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey there.

When I click “Check Update,” once the update downloads, I get a pop-up in the lower left.

Are you expecting more, or did it not pop up?

A download simply started on my computer, which I noticed through the task manager. There was no notification about the download starting, nor any notification about the download finishing.

“Install Update” has appeared in the Help.

I’m not sure, but I might have had a notification about the copied Request ID. Maybe there was a conflict between notifications :thinking:
