Describe the Bug
Cursor stopped updating automatically, so now I have to check their official website for new versions, download, and install everything myself. Even after updating manually, Cursor still keeps showing update notifications, and when I restart it, I get the error shown in the attached image. Sometimes the same error pops up just by closing the window. Has anyone else run into this? Any help would be appreciated!
Steps to Reproduce
You click on Help → Restart to Update (sometimes there’s even a pop-up in the bottom right corner saying there’s an update available), but then it shows the error and doesn’t update. The whole thing just loops… it says there’s an update, it downloads, you click ‘restart to update’, it gives the error, doesn’t update, and then repeats itself.
Expected Behavior
It finished updating without any errors.
