I want the Chat to appear in the main left sidebar alongside Explorer, Search, and Git, not in the secondary sidebar on the right

It’s not possible to move the chat into the primary sidebar. You can, however, change where the chat appears in the IDE (so it doesn’t always have to be docked on the right)

@Colin but then everytime I reopen a new chat it’s still on the right side
