Is there any way to configure Cursor IDE not to open Chat pane at start in default ?
I read the previous discussion, but the feature didn’t exist at the time.
Did it come out now ?

Hey there!
There’s no built-in setting to prevent the Chat pane from opening on startup. You can use Quick toggle: Cmd+Opt+B (Mac) or Ctrl+Alt+B (Windows) to close it instantly.

Are you seeing it be reopened on existing workspaces or you’re just hoping that new workspaces can open with out it?
Can we chip in to add an option to STOP opening chat on startup? Clearly dark pattern to torture fellow engineers.
Does it reopen in a workspace you’ve previously closed it in
Finally, it stays closed on reopening folder or workspace!
More tolerable, still configuration option would be much appreciated.
