Hey, we are working on fixing this, but for now, try to disable any firewall or anti-virus software you have, and test if it still has the same issues.

Other users have reported this issue goes away if they disable their anti-virus, have you tried this yet?
I can not disable anti-virus software because of company policy. Well…its been a while. So, has it been fixed?

Under my Users directory there will be a folder that is named
C:\Users\<<USER>>\AppData\Local\cursor-updater
Inside it you will find:

it will be something like
as you can see I ask for admin rights and this way it stops the cursor from updating.
I have two accounts on my machine One day to day and one Admin. Since I use cursor with non admin it will never update unless I want to…
If you are admin I would think changing the folder permissions might stop it as well.
