Hello,
Some time ago, I changed the username on my computer, and Cursor AI did not automatically recognize the new name. My conversations are working fine and nothing was lost, but the problem occurs when I want to update Cursor. It seems that I have to change the username again temporarily and then switch back.
The conversations themselves remain unchanged, and the issue seems to be related to the path that Cursor uses to locate files for the update.
I believe there might be a solution, possibly by modifying a specific file or something similar.
Is there a way to update Cursor without affecting my existing conversations or having to constantly change the username?
