I loosed Python Run Button

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The “Run Python File” (Play :play_button:) editor action button is missing in the latest Cursor versions.
Previously, the button was visible in the editor toolbar when opening a .py file.
Now it is not visible at all (neither in the editor header nor clearly accessible), even though Python files are opened correctly.

I already created a similar support/bug report earlier, but the issue was not resolved and no actionable solution was provided.

In Configure icon visibly i dont have this setting

Steps to Reproduce

The Run ( :play_button:) button for python files is missing.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi @Jikki_Jim!

How odd, I have both.

Could you please check that you have the ms-python extension installed and enabled (Cursor > Settings > Extensions)? The only way I can get the “Run” button to go away is intentionally disabling it.
