I would like to disable 'New Features' alert dialog

I despise when new apps harass me with popups irrelevant to my actual work and the reason for why I’m using the software (cue Chrome Devtools, app surveys, etc etc)

I would like to disable this alert permanently, is this possible?

heres another one, just spam

You can’t be sure that any new features will be unnecessary and that at some point you won’t come to the forum asking: “Why did everything change for me? They didn’t even tell me!”

Ah, yes but I have disabled updates, so these ‘new features’ are not even relevant for me!

Given the history of cursor introducing more issues than ‘cool new things’ I want to try and find use from, I’ve decided not to automatically install updates. Occasionally I’d probably check the release page and have AI summarize the changes, but it’s bothersome to keep getting these alerts.

I beg to differ  0% of the time am i opening my IDE trying to find an agentic security review product. And as mentioned it usually takes more than one iteration for released features to become… well, ready for release.

What a great guy you are!
What will you do if your version becomes outdated in two months? (There’s no LTSC support here.)

For me, bug bots, commit reviews, and similar features are also completely unnecessary. However, when the “subagents” feature was introduced, it completely revolutionized my workflow.
You can’t guarantee that you won’t need any new feature.

And of course, they did not send a notification about such an important thing as changing the format of specifying models in the subagents’ cards :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:
