I'm a Windows user, but the Tab key is not working

I am a Cursor Pro subscriber, and I am extremely frustrated right now because I have not received any response despite leaving my email and posting on the GitHub issues page.

I have paid for the Pro subscription, but suddenly, the Tab key stopped working, and I have been unable to use Cursor for a week.

The Tab key works fine on my MacBook, but it does not work on my Windows 11 laptop. I have reinstalled the software multiple times, but the same issue keeps occurring.

Why is this happening to me? Please tell me how to fix this issue immediately!

The Cursor Tab at the bottom right is enabled.

I was having a similar problem earlier today on my Windows 11 system. What fixed it for me was logging out of Cursor via File > Preferences > Cursor Settings, re-logging in, then closing and reopening Cursor.

I’m not sure how or why this fixed it, but performing this logout-login-restart dark ritual worked for me. Hope it works for you as well.

Hey, have you tried completely uninstalling Cursor? Check out this guide. Also, as mentioned above, try logging out and logging back in.

I completely deleted and reinstalled the cursor multiple times.
The same goes for logging in and logging out.

Our company is using Zscaler—could this be the cause?
However, features like Ctrl + L and Ctrl + K are working fine.
Only Tab auto-completion suddenly stopped working since last week.

I think that’s the cause of the problem. Try disabling HTTP2 in the settings, that should work.

yes I’ll try this tomorrow

Can you tell me the steps to disable HTTP/2 in Cursor?

Open the settings and type “http2” in the search.

The issue is resolved, thanks!

Hi, I previously posted about the issue where tab key autocompletion wasn’t working in my terminal. With your help, I was able to fix it by disabling HTTP/2.

But now, even though HTTP/2 is still disabled, the tab key autocompletion isn’t working again. What could be the reason?
