Describe the Bug
Hi there,
I believe I’ve come across a significant glitch. Even though I cancelled my Pro subscription—which should have removed my access to Pro features—I’m still able to use Auto mode.
I wanted to report this because I really enjoy using Cursor and wouldn’t want to take advantage of something I’m no longer entitled to. I was a Pro subscriber for several months but cancelled my subscription in June, with the cancellation effective July 9th, as shown on my dashboard. It seems the cancellation might not have been processed correctly.
I’m flagging this in case it’s a bug that other users could exploit. However, I’ve chosen not to take advantage of the situation because I genuinely appreciate the Cursor platform.
Thank you for your attention!
Steps to Reproduce
I’m not sure why it’s like this—I only found out because someone told me on forum that Auto mode is supposed to be for Pro users only.
Expected Behavior
I don’t think I’m supposed to have access to Auto mode.
Operating System
Windows 10/11
Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)
Version: 1.2.4 (user setup)
VSCode Version: 1.99.3
Commit: a8e95743c5268be73767c46944a71f4465d05c90
Additional Information
I also have several screenshots showing that my dashboard consistently displayed that I was on the Free plan and that I was getting the requests at no cost. I assumed this was normal because I thought Auto mode was available to free users too, so I didn’t realize anything was wrong until someone pointed it out.
Does this stop you from using Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue
