Good point. Some of those options don’t apply, we’ll fix.
Very glad to hear you guys are focusing on bug fixes and stability. Tick/Tock or Feat/Fix alternating cycles is a good way to manage this. If you also pair odd/even version numbers, where feat versions are odd (usually, guess it could go t he other way) and could be “unstable”, and fix versions are even (usually…) and stable. That pattern helps users who NEED stability choose which versions to upgrade to.
FWIW, I think there needs to be enhancement to how you manage and tag/flag versions, so that users like myself who really need a stable editor, can actually block the constant auto-update that daily forces new versions on the user. I ONLY want stable versions, as every time there are new unstable features, my daily workflow gets disrupted and my velocity tanks, because a lot of my efforts shift to dealing with Cursor, rather than doing my job. If you guys can, some kind of revamp of the release, version management & tagging/flagging, and auto-update process to allow us users to better manage when updates to our installs occur (and eliminate the constant force pushing ALL of us onto the latest release all the time, which occurs regardless if you close and restart Cursor) would also be very welcome.
Eh. Nothing was fixed. It’s a pity.
With 2.3?
Hi Lee, thanks for looking at this. The buggy UI is the single biggest problem with the app. Specifically, positioning the AI agent stuff in relation to the code. I’d like it to be in a separate window. Right now it’s so buggy it’s almost unusable. Also, I constantly have problems just typing into the prompt - sometimes enter doesnt work, sometimes it types backwards, sometimes it doesn’t type at all, sometimes the mode (plan, agent, ask) doesn’t work.
I don’t use any of the work you did on the Agents tab. It’s frustrating to constantly fight with the software, I don’t really trust it to run processes itself.
I stayed on 1.74, still not recommended to update?
I cant view memories to change anymore in the UI
I see “New update available” almost daily, which is really impressive. But is there a way to enable auto updates? If so, can we sneak an auto updates action into this banner? Don’t want to do it manually every time
love using cursor, but I wish we could close the chat panel with a single click instead of having to go into the three dots menu and clicking “Hide Chat”. When I want to edit or view my code, I often want to close the chat panel rq.
the Editor Default Layout has the cursor icon in the top right for “Toggle AI Pane” that accomplishes this in one click. can you keep this cursor icon in the top right for the Agent Default Layout as well maybe?
I also miss the quick click of a button versus multiple clicks and then having to scan for the toggle switch I want.
This wouldn’t be much of an issue if Cursor would just remember my setting so I don’t have to click through this every time I open a new window in a new worktree branch!
PLEASE: remember my UI settings globally (or at least for the next time I open a new window). This is seriously fatiguing when I open a new window/project 5+ times to do branch reviews.
feedback: the Antigravity file review process is much smoother imo - you can scroll down all concise edits to files and review very quickly. No wasted space or clicks. can this be improved in cursor?
^^
(this one is strong enough to make me consider paying double or even switching)
also can we have a way for one agent to run other agents or access each others’ context? would be more efficient to divide up and coordinate work
Return the method for sending messages after the current tool has finished working (for example, after the console has finished working). It losted now.
Cursor v2.3.14
Stop removing features from the IDE.
2.3.x is good
What has happened to Cursor? I have to close things and reopen all panels every time I close and open Cursor. And it keeps spamming that I need to update but I am on the most recent build. What happened???
How on earth can I drag my chat scroll bar up/down, when the Agent bar keeps popping out from the side?
I’d like to ask to enable horizontal scrolling on the tabs list of the chat.
The mouse scroll doesn’t work on the chats tabs, which gets annoying because the scrollbar is very tiny.

Forced to upgrade today. This garbage is unusable. What is this crap. Why can’t I talk to Agent and look at the code at the same time?
I will be cancelling my personal Cursor subscription and recommending anyone I know not use this. I’ve been pretty positive about Cursor in the past when people have asked about LLM coding agents, but you guys literally don’t care about what a very large number of users are complaining about here, and have given inane, dull, bureaucratic, double-speak answers as to why this can’t be fixed.
As far as I can tell, one or more PMs or designers want to jam “either code or talk to agent, but not both” down everyone’s throats for some reason, and you guys would rather die on that hill and potentially lose some number of users rather than simply allow someone to look at their own code while they have an agent window open.
Today I’m forced to upgrade, then all my chat history missed!!!
I just discovered this today. They moved the settings for choosing the layout mode, out of settings (the logical place!) to this little elipses (…) button here:
Choose Editor, to see your code and agent at the same time. I do NOT understand why they are trying so hard to force people into Agent mode. They need to LEAVE PEOPLE’S EXISTING SETTINGS ALONE! They should simply NOT be changing this setting, every time they shove an update down our throats. Its ridiculous. I want Editor. I don’t want any other mode. Other modes are fine, have as many as you want…JUST DO NOT CHANGE MY SELECTION FOR ME!!! Why is that so hard???
Anyway…@Samier Saeed, you can get back to code+agent by choosing Editor mode here.
