With the current rate limit issues that we’re seeing with Claude Sonnet, it would be great to have more model support for composer agent mode. There are lots of good models now that are comparable, such as Gemini 1.5 Pro that would be useful in agent mode. On a practical level, Claude 3.5 Sonnet is the only model that can be used effectively in agent mode.
A couple questions:
- When can we see more models options for Composer Agent mode?
- What properties must an LLM have for it to be compatible with Composer Agent?
I understand if a model doesn’t support function calling or has a small context size why it wouldn’t be appropriate for an agent. But I don’t understand why Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro or a similar model that has (as far as I can tell) all the features of Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3.5 Haiku, and or GPT-4o isn’t supported in Cursor.
