I am wondering how it is possible that an update is available without a chaneglog?? Today (09.02) Cursor shows an alert about an available update, but the latest entry on Changelog · Cursor is from 25.01. How is this possible? If I am not mistaken there was a link in the alert box before. Where is it now? It looks very unprofessional….
PS
I’ve searched through the forum and there are dozens of such requests….
Today, and many times before, I just got a popup that there’s a new version available to download. No link, no info. I go to Changelog · Cursor
Nothing there either today, 9th March. I think there has been at least one more, since the last update on the 5th.
Why??? Why is it so hard to provide info what’s in the new versions, so I can make an informed decision of I wanna close down everything and update, or not?
I see the new update, and I have the same question — where’s the CHANGELOG? There have been dozens of such requests, yet we hear total silence from the Cursor team (“we consider this” is not an answer at all) or maybe I missed the answer?
Dear Cursor team, please answer — are you going to publish a CHANGELOG, and if so, when?"
I, too, had to go searching. I was able to get the changelog for 2.6, (https://cursor.com/changelog/2-6) but not the latest 2.6.14. I only found the 2.6 by telling Cursor AI to go find it for me.
I’d love for us to have changelogs for patch releases, too! Today we only publish changelogs for minor releases (like 2.6), not for patches (like 2.6.14), and I agree that’s not ideal.
We’re currently revisiting how we handle versioning and changelogs, and better visibility into patch releases is part of that discussion.
