Nothing happens after hitting 'Chat' or 'Chat with codebase'

I’m kinda stuck in the middle of a project. Suddenly the chat or chat with codebase is not working for me. I can confirm that I have not hit my fast quota, and have unlimited slow quota at the moment. I also do not see any errors.

I have tried restarting but no luck. I do not want to rerun without context as there’s a lot of context for the project to have reached the stage it’s currently at.

Yeah, that’s a weird bug that can occur after a long conversation. I think starting a new chat is the only way. :frowning:

Just happened to me again (previously reported here Chat thread stuck, new messages aren't sent. Shows “No context” label).

But it’s not a long conversation at all. This is the third message I was about to send. I think it was the first time I also referenced a media file too:

Are you using interpreter mode by any chance?

I do have it enabled. Shall I disable it?

Yes, context only works in „normal“ mode.

I don’t know what happened on 1st January, but as of now I’m not able to user Cursor at all. No matter what I do, after two or three messages, the chat just dies.

Not sure if anybody else is also facing this. But as of now, Cursor no longer works for me.

Could you send a screenshot of the problem? Just trying to understand better what you mean by the chat dies.

I get “dead” chats quite a bit with fairly long chat histories, usually in interpreter mode and have to start new chats… quite annoying.
