Plan mode can't show TODO list properly

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When I use plan mode, previews the created plan, but the TODO list is empty, and I can’t see what the model plans to do.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a plan for a complex task using plan mode
  2. Preview the generated plan
  3. Discover that the To-dos are empty

Expected Behavior

Should display the to-do list normally to let me confirm whether the model’s plan is correct

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

I found that LaTeX-format mathematical formulas also do not display properly on the plan’s preview page, which is not very friendly for people who do mathematical work.

Hey, thanks for the report. I can see you’ve created two related issues about the plan mode preview rendering.

It looks like this is a display problem in the new plan mode preview feature that was added in v2.1.x.

I’ll pass this issue to the team to investigate. In the meantime, you can try working around the empty TODO list by running the plan and watching in real time what changes the agent makes, although I understand this isn’t ideal without the preview.

Could you also check if the raw plan text (without the preview rendering) is available anywhere, or if this only affects the visual preview?

Thank you for your timely attention. I found that although the plan preview isn’t displaying correctly, during execution it does have its own to-do list to follow, so this should be a display issue. Hope you can fix it as soon as possible, and thank you for your updates
