Plan Mode Not Fully Implementing

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Plan mode creates a plan but does not fully implement when Build is selected.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a plan
  2. Click build
  3. Cursor gives message indicating complete despite tasks not completed
  4. Ask Cursor to confirm completion of tasks
  5. Cursor acknowledges not all tasks completed
  6. Tell Cursor to complete tasks
  7. Cursor “completes” tasks
  8. Ask Cursor if all tasks are completed
  9. Cursor says not all tasks completed
    and so on.

Expected Behavior

Tasks are marked as complete while building and all tasks are completed or at least Cursor acknowledges what is remaining in responses.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue we’re currently investigating. We’ve seen several reports this week where Plan mode’s todo list doesn’t update correctly and it falsely reports completion when you click Build.

The team is already looking into Plan mode todo sync issues. I’ve added your report to help track the scope. In the meantime, you might need to manually verify task completion instead of relying on Plan mode’s status updates.

Let me know if you notice any specific patterns that trigger the issue.
