It never times out here. Have had requests rolling for hours without any signs of live. Just the “Generating…” and the three small dots below, where the text would be generated.
I have had those in the past, in earlier version, but I have seen any of these since the “upgrade” to 0.47.8.
Cursor-team: You should have all minor versions to be downloaded, too, not just the latest, i.e. in this case .8 . I want to downgrade to 0.47.7 or something like that, not all the way back to 0.46.
Each time I click on an ongoing request (in the edit box) the Output windows shows a new of these each time:

If I create a new project, it starts to answer. But, I don’t want to create a new project!
Also, I tried to delete almost all of my earlier Composers and Chats in my project and that didn’t help.

I encountered the same issue. After exhausting the 500 fast calls included in my Pro account, all subsequent slow calls kept failing. As a result, I subscribed to the usage-based pricing service. However, the first four agent calls stopped immediately without performing any tasks, yet I was charged $0.12. Cursor, please issue a refund.

I downgraded to 0.47.3 version & cursor is working smoothly so far !

I dont think this is a version issue anymore. Something is wrong with cursor, GPT-4o also is showing ‘Generating…’ which means it is not an anthropic issue too. Hope someone will look into this.
I restarted my Machine so had to restart cursor and it force installed a new version and now it fails completely while trying to create a new file. It’s unable to create a new file and then hangs. I have explicitly said no updates unless the build is stable. This kind of a rush job ruins our time and planning. Why are you forcing updates in cursor on my end when you are alpha testing on me. There is no request number to open a ticket either. Have tried this multiple times different composer windows. Zero Progress.

Yeah…It is highly sporadic.
There is an outage for an hour everyday around 2 to 3am. There is random outages like this. During the day there is multiple outages. When do they let us work in peace.
Anyone know if they support a role back to an older version. I dont want to break cursor and all my work along with it. This feels like they are shoving the new release down our throats. I even have a setup for Beat Updates as Standard. It didnt even honor it and went ahead and updated.
I manually downgraded to 0.47.3 in Linux Ubuntu 22.04. But that is also sporadic. At times it works, at times not.

Guys, Tried multiple things, but it continues to be unpredictable - Some times it works, some times it dont. Looks like nothing is gonna happen today. Stopping for the day.
