Remote control for local Cursor Desktop sessions from mobile

Describe the request

Feature request: Remote Agent Control from Mobile

I often leave Cursor open on my office Mac with a project already loaded. While away from the computer, for example during a commute, I may have new ideas and would like to send prompts to the active Cursor Agent/Chat from my iPhone.

Today the available options are Cloud Agents or remote desktop, but neither maps perfectly to this workflow. Cloud Agents require a supported remote Git provider and run in a separate cloud environment, while remote desktop is cumbersome on mobile.

It would be useful to have a secure “Remote Control” feature for Cursor Desktop:

  • Pair a mobile device with a specific Cursor Desktop installation.
  • View active workspaces/projects.
  • Send prompts to an existing local Agent/Chat session.
  • Receive progress updates and summaries.
  • Approve risky actions from mobile.
  • Optionally continue the conversation when back at the desktop.
  • Support local repositories, including Bitbucket or non-GitHub/GitLab setups.

This would let users keep working with their existing local environment, secrets, terminals, project state, and open Cursor session, without needing full remote desktop access.

We are cooking something. :folded_hands:

I fully agree. Using Cursor on the mobile app lets you make good use of fragmented time, and with mobile as a new terminal, you can run tasks in parallel via cloud mode.
