Describe the request

Dear Cursor Team,

I hope this email finds you well.

My name is Ayham Yasser, a C++ developer and a verified GitHub Student Developer Pack member. I have been using Cursor as my primary IDE for building a high-performance 3D Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and Photonic Simulator using C++20 on Linux.

I am deeply impressed by how Cursor handles complex logic, and I am currently working on an ambitious educational project: building an Arabic-language platform to teach advanced C++ based on cppreference and cplusplus.com.

Because my workflow involves heavy local LLM integration (Ollama) and complex system-level debugging, I believe I can provide valuable feedback on your latest Alpha features. I am particularly interested in testing advanced context-awareness and any new experimental features that could speed up the development of hardware-related simulations.

I would love the opportunity to contribute to the Cursor community as an early tester.

Best regards,
Ayham Yasser

Hey Ayham, thanks for your interest and for sharing what you’re working on. It sounds like an impressive project.

A couple of things:

  1. Alpha and early access program
We don’t currently have a public alpha testing program that users can apply to. New features usually roll out through regular updates to all users.

  2. Student discount
Cursor offers a free year of Pro for eligible students. The requirement is a .edu email address. GitHub Student Developer Pack membership alone doesn’t qualify. If you have a .edu email, you can verify through cursor.com/dashboard using SheerID. More details here: Student discount | Cursor Docs

If you have a .edu email, I’d recommend going that route to unlock Pro features for your workflow.
