Feature Request
Add the ability to share AI chat conversations as a link, similar to how Doubao (豆包) and ChatGPT allow users to share conversations.
Desired behavior:

  • Right-click on a chat message or conversation → “Share” button
  • Click to generate a shareable link
  • Optional: password protection for privacy
  • Optional: select specific messages to share (not the entire conversation)

Why this is useful:

  • Share useful AI-generated solutions with teammates
  • Save and reference important conversations externally
  • Collaborate by sharing problem-solving sessions

Current workaround:

  • Manual copy-paste, which loses formatting and context
  • Screenshots, which are not searchable or editable

This is a standard feature in most AI chat products (ChatGPT, Doubao, Claude.ai). Would be great to have it in Cursor as well.

You can already do it with “Share Transcript”, which is present in the 3-dot menu at the top of the chat sidebar:
