Feature request for product/service
Cursor IDE
Describe the request
In the Agents sidebar chat list, a chat gets a dot in front of its title when it needs attention:
- Blue dot: the agent has finished and there is a new result to read
- Orange dot: the agent is waiting for my input (e.g. an
AskQuestionprompt)
Problem
These dots only reflect the main chat. When work runs in a side chat of a chat, nothing shows up in the list:
- A side chat finishes its work: no blue dot on the parent chat
- A side chat calls
AskQuestionand waits for me: no orange dot on the parent chat
So I have to open every chat to check whether a side chat is done or blocked on a question, and side chats waiting on AskQuestion can sit idle for a long time without me noticing.
Proposed behavior
- Show the blue dot on the parent chat when any of its side chats finishes with unread output.
- Show the orange dot on the parent chat when any of its side chats is waiting on
AskQuestion(or any other user input). - If both apply, orange (needs input) wins over blue.
- Optional: a tooltip on the dot saying whether it comes from the main chat or a side chat.
This would make side chats as visible as the main chat and avoid missed questions.
