Slack automation only triggers for creator, not other channel members (personal plan)

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

A Slack-triggered automation only fires when the automation creator posts in the channel. Messages from other Slack users in the same public channel do not trigger the automation at all — no cloud agent run is created.

I am on a personal/individual Cursor plan (no Team plan). The Slack trigger is configured for “Anyone in the channel” (not “Authenticated Cursor users”). Teammates should not need Cursor accounts.

Automation ID: 4821bbb0-90a4-11f1-ba66-0e7d0216e441

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Slack-triggered automation on a personal Cursor account
  2. Set trigger to a public Slack channel, “Anyone in the channel”
  3. Post a message matching the trigger filter as the automation creator → automation runs
  4. Have a different Slack user post a matching message in the same channel → automation does not run

Expected Behavior

Any user in the Slack channel should be able to trigger the automation when their message matches the trigger conditions, without needing a Cursor account or linked Slack integration.
