Slack bot doesn't respond to messages posted programmatically

Describe the Bug

When programmatically posting a message (via a python script for example) in a DM or in a channel and mentioning @Cursor, the Cursor bot does not respond to the message. However, when copying and paste the exact message and putting into the thread, the bot responds.

Steps to Reproduce

Programmatically send a message to the slack workspace in a channel that Cursor is installed to (or post into a DM with Cursor). Use the <@Cursor> syntax to properly mention it. Use link_names=1 if posting in a thread.

Expected Behavior

Cursor bot responds
