I have used Cursor for a month, really impressive because it help me boosting my productivity. However, I can only adapt to Pro pricing, which I have run out of fast request. Normally, I will only wait for 10 secs for with a slow request, but now it takes more than a minute for each response, including the basic one like telling the AI to explain what is coding. Currently, I cancel my subscription because of this, so if possible, check it again because I am willing to use slow request, but this thing is too slow.
Slow requests depend on:
- How many slow requests you make, the more the longer your queue.
- How many users are at a certain time making requests (less users at same time, faster responses)
- How many requests the AI supplier (Anthropic/OpenAI etc) can handle and how fast. e.g. Anthropic had pretty heavy outages in last few days due to overload.
- You can always use usage based pricing for additional requests you want to handle fast, which is reasonably priced. (same pricing as the in package listed 500 requests, however there now not in bundles of 500 but as much as you need). On the Cursor homepage you can see how many requests you used and the cost, also set a reasonable limit to not spend too much.
