I hope that the composer can be split into an independent window or support being dragged to another screen. In this way, I can fully use the advantages of dual monitors. :desktop_computer: One monitor can be used for editing code, :desktop_computer: and the other monitor can be used for asking questions, chatting, and using AI. :laughing:If this operation can be supported, the software will be more useful. :joy:But unfortunately, the composer window currently does not support dragging. The composer floating window cannot be dragged outside the main window either.

For reference, added as a ‘bug report’ here previously: [image] Composer disappears when dragging it to another screen Bug Report I love Cursor and Composer slight_smile . I also love the pop-out/floating feature of Composer. (I would love it on Ctrl + L too). I mentioned it previously in a post comment but thought I would create a separate post for this behaviour, which seems to be unintentional. Composer ‘disappears’ when you try to drag it to another screen. See attached screenshot of undesired behaviour. Having Composer and Ctrl L in another screen would keep the Cursor interface free of distractions etc. I ac…

I am very sorry. If it is relatively difficult to implement this function, it can be postponed for the time being. After all, this is not an essential function.

No need to be sorry at all, I was just letting you know it was a commonly requested feature - hopefully it can be implemented at some point if the devs think it is a good idea and it is technically possible  :crossed_fingers: . (I personally find myself resizing my Chat, Editor and Composer interfaces a lot during my coding process, but ofcourse know that the devs have lots of other things they are working on and have to consider etc).

[image] tangjun: After all, this is not an essential function. I can only use one of my monitors and things are far too crowded. This is essential for me.

For reference: [image] Allow Composer window to be detached from main window for use on another monitor Feature Requests Looks like it is available now, as at 0.41.1. For composer, Ctrl + Shift + I and then drag the modal window to another screen. For Ctrl + L chat, click on the Open Chat in Editor icon, and then drag the editor tab to another screen. Edit: Hmm, Composer is working fine for me on another screen, but perhaps I spoke too soon about Chat on another screen, I seem to be getting undesired behaviour when I have the AI chat editor tab on another screen - when I ask for some suggestions, and then clic…

@litecode I’m on 0.41.2 and that window does not allow dragging at all. Only the Ctrl+I variant does and that is only within the constraints of the window. Are you an LLM?

Hi @surcor , Please see my reply to your other post here: [image] Allow Composer window to be detached from main window for use on another monitor Feature Requests Hi @surcor and @aliensoul , I am on 0.41.2 on Windows and this is what I see: Screenshot - Composer on another screen [composer_other_screen] Screenshot - Chat in Editor tab on another screen (not fully functional yet) [chat_other_screen]
