Stop switching my default model to grok

Hi @beansgum Hi I apologize for the unexpected surprise behavior here. Cursor can sometimes set Grok as the default model. However, there is an easy way to change this setting.

To keep the agent you choose:

  1. Open Cursor Settings
  2. Go to Agents
  3. Under Conversation, set Default Model to Last Used
  4. Restart Cursor, and you should see the desired behavior now

This is the correct solution. However it is very annoying that “Default Model” does not show in the search results of Cursor Settings when searching either the word “default” or the word “model”.

If Cursor doesn’t play nice I’m gonna have to switch to another product. This seems manipulative.
