I experience this issue for months since 0.41 without any specific solution.
The issue occur when i have a running task of cursor on my device , without exiting the cursor application , and i just restart my device.After restart my device and reopen cursor , it will stuck at infinity generating on my last composer ( the running task of composer before restarting)
I have pro subscription , and this is annoying bc i need to train again another composer everyday i wake up
Hey, sorry you’re facing this issue.
This is a known problem we are working on, but as you’ve found, the only way around it for now is to start a new composer session.
We hope to get an update out soon that resolves this issue!

Can I ask, do you have a way of somewhat reliably reproducing this issue?
Or, do you have an old composer that is still stuck, if you go back to it and try to ask it something?
If we can find a way to reproduce this ourselves, we’ll have a much better shot at fixing it!!

I have the same issue. The biggest problem with starting new composer or chats to get around the problem is getting the new composer session up to speed with current context. This ends up being a huge time waster.
I faced the same issue right now, I highly doubt this issue happens when people restart their pc. I face this issue right after I restart my pc.
Could you explain how to start a new composer session?
I restart Cursor app, and after cmd+I, am I in a new composer session? The prompt history is still there but I lost all the checkout options. The composer still can not generate any responses.
Note I didn’t restart my Mac.
From the updated released of 17dec 0.44 changelog Changelog | Cursor - The AI Code Editor, I believe a solution for that is still not being published.The only updates we need is get this fix only , its been held for months
