Signed up using a valid university email from an eligible country but it’s NOT .edu
Hi, I’m a student from Turkey studying at Biruni University.
I’ve signed up with my university email: [email protected]
But I couldn’t complete verification because Turkey is not listed in the country dropdown.
Could you please help me verify manually or enable Turkey in the country list?
I can provide my student ID or transcript if necessary.

I am a current enrolled student at Arizona State University and could not get the SheerID verification and eventually reached a limit trying to verify. I opened a request with SheerID who responded after 3 days saying they could manually verify if I sent in evidence of my enrollment status, which I did. 3 hours later, they responded saying they are unable to help me and closed my request without any explanation as to why.
This feels sketchy and scammy. Who is SheerID and how is the personal information I sent being used? Not a good first impression and I haven’t even used the tool yet.

Can’t log in - have 2 .edu emails (from universities) and neither of them works - every time I go to log in on the webpage (to confirm student discount or to do anything) I’m taken back to the sign in page. Of course Cursor’s help is only as AI based assistant that’s no help at all
I had the same issue (tried redeeming using my personal account, made a new account using .edu email, hit verification limit) and recently resolved it: I asked sheerID to reset my verification status (explaining the account mix-up), and then verification worked with my .edu account.

Could you please assist with resolving the logging issue? When I login with my student email I am constantly being returned back to the login page.
I tried signing up for cursor student discount, but have no idea why I got the verification limit exceeded issue, which previously, I have been hit with the “Unable to Verify” issue, despite me studying in the US with a valid reputable school, using my .edu address. I contacted SheerID not once, but thrice, and they gave me an automated-like response, not doing anything to resolve the verification limit issue. The reply I got from SheerID is as follows:

Hi, I’m a student from UK, I can see that UK is in the support country list, but our email address were end with “.ac.uk”, and it does been block by the website says
"Invalid Email
Your email cannot be used for student verification. Please log in with a valid “.edu” university email to verify your student status."
Could you please kindly tell us about when we can access normally?

Same thing happening with me lol. Automated response nothing else. SheerID is broken for cursor and cursor is trying to ignore it. Cursor can just manually verify. It’s just an email.

I verified my student email but when I click on the link that takes me to the verified page, it does not end up showing a discount. I’ve been trying a lot to reach the support team, but it has been quite tough to get a hold. I know you guys have other pressing issues to work on but if you could take a look at this issues, it would be a blessing for us students here.
Hi i also got my student validation ok but i dont have see / got the discount, when i click on the mail i just got redirected on the account page but nothing happent
I have the same issue as ziwaa-se, my student status was confirmed but didn’t apply to my account. Is anyone able to assist with this please?
