Describe the Bug
Hi Cursor team,
First, thank you for offering a student program - your discount makes a real difference for those of us on tight university budgets.
I noticed that eligibility is currently gated by “.edu” email addresses. While that works for most U.S. institutions, many accredited universities worldwide use other academic domains (e.g., .ac.uk in the UK, .ac.il in Israel, .edu.au in Australia). As a result, a large group of genuine students can’t benefit from the program even though you list their countries as supported.
Would you consider adding an alternative verification path - such as accepting officially recognized academic TLDs or allowing a manual review with proof of enrollment? Expanding the criteria would help international students like me take advantage of your generous offer.
Thanks for considering the request, and again, I appreciate the work you do for the student community!
Steps to Reproduce
