You can export and import your VSCode profiles.

what about Settings Sync that is part of VSCode? Settings Sync in Visual Studio Code

Export & Import is not sync. I see the question all over the forum here and all the answers are export/import. Is sync in the works or?

Yes the Cursor(ver. 0.33.4) does not change after importing a profile. Extensions are not installed

You can use this extension: Settings Sync by Shan Khan.

Sadly this extension seems years unmaintained and cannot recognise extensions used by WSL and, in my case, it only uploads the locally installed ones. So not useful, but thanks anyway.

Wanting to stay up to date with this as well. If they could get this figured out, this would 100000% be my daily driver for both home AND work. I update things frequently and need settings/extensions/etc. synced across two computers.

True. And it’s not just that though.

It’s only when settings sync works that I would normally make the editor my own. Some of the nitty gritty productivity tweaks seem hardly worth it if you have to redo them the next time again. Especially in 2025

Also allows you to reinstall your OS and sync settings back after.

Not to mention cloud instances if/when possible

I’d argue the sync feature is a huge deal.
