The Auto Mode option is missing from the interface. It was previously available but is no longer visible.

Steps to Reproduce

The Auto Mode disappeared.

Expected Behavior

  1. Open Cursor IDE.
  2. Check the sidebar or command menu for Auto Mode.
  3. Observe that the option is missing.

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. The Auto option doesn’t appear if a custom API key is enabled in your settings. That’s expected behavior.

To restore Auto: open Cursor Settings → Models → API Keys and remove or disable your custom API key.

Auto mode only works with Cursor’s built‑in model providers.
