When installing Cursor, it kept getting stuck on the loading prompt, and the problem persisted even after restarting. I was using it fine, but it suddenly got disconnected today, so I logged in again. After that, when I returned to the program window, I found that it needed to be updated, and discovered this situation. Then I had to uninstall it, and then re-download the latest version from the Cursor official website and install it, but the problem persisted.
Same issue here..Got logged out of account today (was working fine till yesterday). I reinstalled it, but I still get stuck on the loading page.
Hey guys, are you able to hit CMD+P at this point, or is that not even working?
Also, can you try installing an older version from Downloads | Cursor - The AI Code Editor and see if this is a new issue?
Ctrl + P does work, but the UI is still stuck on the Loading page. I was logged into a remote server previously, so when I close the cursor window, I get the remote server error. Will update if the previous version is working as expected.
Can you try to do Ctrl + Shift + P and run the Developer: Toggle Developer Tools
. Then go to the Console tab, clear it with the symbol, reload the window with Ctrl + R, then send a screenshot of any errors that show up in the console there?
There are no errors after clearing the console initially. On reload, there are some errors in the console (probably related to the remote server connection error?)
I haven’t tried this method. However, the last time I waited for it to load for a long time (the window was always open), it suddenly loaded the main window interface of the program, and everything was normal again. This problem is so strange, I don’t know what the reason is. I remember that once after opening a new window, the program prompted to update, I “confirmed” it, and then I found this problem, but after I uninstalled it, I downloaded the latest version from the official website and installed it, and this bug still existed. Fortunately, there is no problem now.
Yes, Indeed. It was working fine till yesterday, I opened it today and I was greeted with the login page. After logging in, I was stuck on the loading page for more than 10 minutes. I reinstalled Cursor 1.0.0 again, but the issue still persists. This seems to be a UI problem because I can still see all my files on the remote server with Ctrl + P, but can’t get the editor page to open.
Yes! I suspect that the UI loading theme style may be too slow to load.
I could finally get the editor page loading after about an hour or so. Hopefully, this issue does not crop up again.
