The model doesn't work anymore

Describe the Bug

I have the pro plan and it was working just fine till some minutes ago, since then I’m getting this message:

INVALID MODEL
The model default does not work with your current plan or api key

Please see attached screenshot, you can see it’s the Pro plan on the leftmost side and the error message around the middle right.

Steps to Reproduce

I don’t even know what the error means let alone reproduce it.

Expected Behavior

I’d expect it to just work like it was.

Additional Information

I have the model in “Auto” so Cursor can choose the one it wants.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Dude it’s been failing every now and then, I can’t use it since yesterday afternoon, this error appears consistently every time I retry:

Nope, I only use the models that Cursor brings.

This just showed up to me randomly now while I was working. I’ve no idea how to resolve this. Tried updating the version but no dice.

Is there any update on this issue? I am getting the same error. Literally, Cursor is unusable now.

UPDATE:

Looks like I need to restart and update Cursor, seems to be working again now.
