Unable to revert back to non glass version of Cursor

I’m using Cursor on my windows machine. I use WSL exclusively and Cursor Glass won’t correctly open any of my projects from within my WSL environment. I’m now trying to revert back to the non nightly release version of Cursor but it won’t revert.

I’ve tried uninstalling version 2.7.0 and installing 2.6.20 but it still opens up Cursor Glass.

can you do file → new window? should open up a standard IDE

I reached out to Cursor support and they mentioned that if I ran cursor –classicit would revert to the non Glass version. This worked great.

Thank you for following up

The correct input should be cursor --classic, not curosr -classic. You can see the description of this option by running cursor -h.

`cursor –classic` doest allow me to switch off of “Nightly” Update Access. Is there a way to switch back to standard update access?

Reason for wanting to switch back, it looks like the OpenAI xhigh models aren’t available.

Should be easier to switch between the Glass and Classic
Even your agent could not find how to run the Classic mode (cursor --classic)

Should be a separate UX app. It sucks that you hide the editor, if I want to work with Glass I have Codex, I need Cursor for its IDE

And the fact that you break the UX every version is so annoying this is basic in dev product, do not change it every version this is crazy and I am thinking about canceling subscription.

Where do you have “file →new window” in the new glass interface?

I am on Linux, I have no menu.

And BTW the right button for the “show panel” is also hiding in Linux under the minimize controls.
