This morning, the Cursor had a messy record when talking to it. When I gave it a new task, it would keep answering the previous or previous task, and repeating it over and over again.
Then when I searched for a file, it said: The string to replace was not found in the file.
I don’t know what question I need to check, but I kept trying, and every time it was: OK, you are right, you are right, you are right, OK, OK…
actually i had something similar happen yesterday for the first time ever, i told agent (sonnet 4 thinking) to do something, he does it and then goes “wait this is not correct” and removed all changes? wtf
I guess it is because the previous To-dos were not closed, which resulted in the continuous processing of the unclosed To-dos even if there were new To-dos.
@liquefy@Cydoo dev team has checked the requests you posted, the issues were model related in those cases. However if you see it again let me know so we can check again.
We have seen some degradation from a few models, it coincided with the release but also folks on 1.2.4 have reported them independently.
@Nicola_Pellandini thank you for the feedback, however to investigate what went wrong, could you post a Request ID with privacy disabled so we can look into the details? Cursor – Getting a Request ID Preferrably with more details in a new Bug Report.
Came here to say this has been happening to me all day today. Sonnet-4-thinking, both with my own API key and with Cursor Pro+ plan.
It’s as if the context / chat history is being truncated incorrectly and is cutting off the most recent history, including my most recent instruction. The agent just keeps going in circles on the same stuff over and over.
Experiencing exactly the same thing. It would start on a new task, fix something, and then continue from the middle of a previous task already completed a couple of sessions before. Restarting cursor did not help. Glad it’s not something messed up in my own cursor config
