I’m encountering this issue — although it’s said to be resolved quickly, the situation hasn’t improved. My programming work can’t proceed. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
I experience exactly the same issue since yesterday night (~12 hours ago) trying to run an agent with Slack and Notion MCPs. And it still persists. At the same time the status of both Cursor and Anthropic seems to be at full availability.
Here someone has experienced a similar issue due to an MCP being enabled. But I am not sure it is related. Do you have any MCPs enabled?
UPD: At least on my side it seems to be related to the context size of the conversation. I do not have this issue when conversation begins, but at some point when I get a large response from an MCP server, it shows this error.
For me, linux xubuntu 22, cursor 0.48.2, it doesnt do anything with any model when i send an agent request. restarted it, checked for updates, started new chats. nothing works.
I am missing tight deadlines because of this and honestly can not understand why you ship updates for a paid product in this manner.
Your product is good, stop rushing new features.
The beta version is working really well so far all the issues i had previously have pretty much gone, cursor is actually working pretty well now
@fwends How i get the beta version? I set the Update Frequency to Early Access and it says no updates. 0.48.2 is definetly absolutely broken, at least on ubuntu/debian linux.
I cannot even enter commit messages anymore. It doesnt recognize file changes after branch change. I get the impression that cursor guys are actually vibe coding that ide and dont have any tests, because they ■■■■ up half the UI everytime they publish an update.
I was suffering this and started to work again after I removed MCPs…
Currently the beta version will only be pushed to Early Access users once a day, the latest version is 0.48.6 (Windows), don’t be anxious, you can use the stable version first!
