I was using Cursor last weekend (here in the UK on my Windows 11 Pro local dev PC), and it seemed to run a lot faster (measured by the responsiveness of Agent) than during Mon-Fri. I’ve got a high-speed fibre connection (typically around 500 Mbps up/down)
I assume that’s simply because less Cursor users globally are working at this time.
It’s midday here in the UK right now, about the time that North American developers will start to come online… but Cursor has been running very slowly for me these last few hours.
fyi: I’ve got a Pro Cursor account, and I’m mainly using Claude 4 Sonnet (occasionally MAX, occasionally Auto).
Is global demand for any given LLM at any given time the main determinant of how fast Cursor (Agent) responds on my local PC? And/or are there other major factors?
